An elegant dining chair that is often used as a conference chair and in churches. CH46 is with armrests, and CH47 is without armrests. The seat is hand woven in high-quality paper cord and is available in natural or black cord. Designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1965.
The 1965 design of the CH46 chair perfectly showcases Hans J. Wegners affinity for functional, elegant simplicity. The CH46 is inspired by the American Shaker movement from the 1800s, the characteristics of which are recognized globally as one of the attributes of Scandinavian design.
The CH46 chairs warm, natural materials and comfortable design make it perfect for entrance halls, dining rooms, waiting rooms and conference rooms. It allows for true sitting pleasure with its lightly reclined composition, sculptural armrests and dynamic yet graceful expression.
The CH46 chairs comfortable armrests and back design, together with the hand-woven, paper-cord seat, ensure a comfortable sitting experience for hours on end. The chair is also available in the CH47 version without armrests.
The round legs establish an organic frame for the entire chair. The straight seat, narrow armrests and simple back slats provide minimalistic contrast to the frame.
