Between 1969 and 1987 Poul Christiansen brought innovative and exciting dimensions to Le Klint’s lampshades. Prior to his involvement, shades had been folded in pleats and straight lines; the 172 Model embodies his discovery that folding in mathematical curves gave the lampshades beautifully unique, sculptural shapes. The pendant’s textured, soft curves create a calming and tranquil experience, with the natural white finish allowing for a beautiful, alluring glow to develop.
